Spider-Girl #41

Writer: Tom DeFalco
Penciller: Pat Olliffe

Synopsis: A silent issue dealing with the aftermath of Crazy Eight's death.

Comments: This was 'Nuff Said month when all the titles that month were only told with pictures without any dialogue or captions. This month was a tribute to the G.I. Joe #21, which was a silent issue. If you have a physical copy of Spider-Girl #41, you can read the first 18 pages of the plot. The rest of the plot was posted for a short time on Marvel.com.

Nice to see Peter and Normie reconcile.

I remember in the plot that DeFalco wanted Angel Face cradling Funny Face like the Pietà

Crazy Eight looks so average and remains anonymous in death.

Angel Face appeared in Green Goblin #8 and #11. I looked through those comics and it looks like they were going for a Mask vibe.

The title "Funeral for a Fiend" is a tribute to the DC Superman event "Funeral for a Friend."
