MC2 Mystery: Who are Magneta's Parents?

Image
Disclaimer: I only do this for entertainment purposes and to tie together established Marvel history. My opinion is not to be taken as fact for any other sites to report as such. Only Tom DeFalco and his MC2 collaborators add anything to MC2 canon.  Since she showed up in J2 #6, little is known about Magneta. She seems to have unlimited technology and resources at her disposal. Her characterization has gone from would be anti-hero to out and out villain. So, she's just like Magneto. This is my attempt to guess at her origins.  Magneto and Aleytys "Lee" Forrester--Lee was once held captive by Magneto along with her then boyfriend Scott Summers a.k.a. Cyclops in X-Men #149-150. Lee later saved Magneto from a shark attack when he plunged into the ocean in X-Men #188 and the two became lovers in issues of New Mutants . Their relationship was later forgotten about like most things Chris Claremont did.  Lorna Dane a.k.a.Polaris and Alex Summers a.k.a. Havok--Lorna Dane was

MC2 Mystery: Who are the X-People's Fathers?

Disclaimer: When I was researching the X-People, I noticed people online made profiles for them and assigned them names for their secret identities. In turn, other web sites contributed to the confusion and stated those names as fact on their X-People profiles. Who knew the Internet thrived on misinformation, confusion and plagiarism? So in these MC2 mystery posts where I speculate on who the parents of various individuals are, I'm not stating that as a fact. Only Tom DeFalco and his collaborators can do that. My posts are meant to entertain and tie together Marvel history in an organic way.  The X-People were a team of young mutants formed by Jubilee. For the X-People, I could only think of possible fathers, but no mothers I'm sorry to say.  Spanner-She has elastic/stretching abilities.  Reed Richard a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic--Reed, you dog. Stepping out on Sue? I'm not serious about this theory.  Flatman--Member of the Great Lakes Avengers, who in addition to appearing 2-D, al

MC2 Mystery: Who is Argo's Mother?

Argo the Almighty was introduced in A-Next #6. When he met the Avengers, he told them that he was the son of Hercules and that he was from California where Hercules met his mother, specifically in Los Angeles. During his emotional reunion with Hercules, he revealed that his mother had died from a broken heart.  Los Angeles is a city Hercules had a history with when he was a member of the first itineration of the superhero team, the Champions. Going over their recorded adventures, I did not find a love interest for Hercules in that comic.  To theorize who Argo's mother was, we go back years ago in a story arc from Captain America #206-212, to a place in Central America called Rio de Muerte ("River of Death") where a dictator named Hector Santiago, derogatorily referred to as "The Swine", ruled his country from a prison where he could on hand to torture the inmates. Hector, who some online think resembled John Lennon , had a cousin named Donna Maria Puentes wh
