Spider-Girl #51

Writer: Sean McKeever
Penciller: Casey Jones

Synopsis: A boy who is about to move away writes down his feelings for May.

Comments: This is a link to Tom Brevoort's blog about how this issue came to be.

Hat tip to frogoat for noting how the trade paperback placed this issue between issues #35 and #36.

This issue is told from a first person perspective instead of the usual second person perspective.

Electro's daughter would come back in issue #81. Her reappearance is probably the only thing that renders this story canon.

  1. Agree 100% if this story didn't feature any elements later used by Defalco and the gang, I don't think anyone would consider it canon. I am a sucker for the art style, though, but the shower scene is completely inappropriate.

    1. The scene didn't contribute much to the story. I reached into my mind palace to recall of there were in any shower scenes in early Marvel and in Fantastic Four #7, Johnny is shown taking a shower and Ben turns up the hot water causing Johnny to flame on.
