Spider-Girl #93
Writer: Tom DeFalco
Penciller: Ron Frenz
Comments: This would be a good debate to have whether Spider-Girl should have called for backup even thought she was fairly confident it wasn't Magneto. It happens in life where you cut corners and you get busted for not following the rules, even though expediency was probably the best course at the time.
The title "Something Osborn This Way Comes" is a take off from the the title of a Ray Bradbury novel, Something Wicked This Way Comes, which is in turn a quote from Shakespeare's Macbeth.
The new Green Goblin
Despite the title and some fans talking, I don't think Normie ever uses the codename "Dusk." Dusk, was a name used by Peter Parker briefly and others have used it. It is a running joke that Normie chides people who call him by his name when he's out and about with symbiote. Get a codename, dude!
Due to his being a clone and his powers being slightly different, Kaine has precognitive flashes instead of spider-sense. I like how May answers his demand that she stop being Spider-Girl.
Kristy Watson. I had to do a deep dive research for her. She's Mary Jane's first cousin. She ran away from home and arrived in New York saying her parents had sent her there while they were on vacation in Europe. Her dream was to become a model like Mary Jane. An insecure teenager, Kristy had trouble with boundaries and walked in the bathroom while Peter was showering and into the bedroom when Peter and Mary Jane were getting ready. Mary Jane tried to dump her off on Aunt May, but that was somewhat negated when Peter and Mary Jane had to move in with Aunt May as well. Kristy developed a crush on Peter and was revealed to have an eating disorder when she had a heart attack from purging. Kristy was disowned by her parents and left in Mary Jane's care. She later lived with the Osborns, becoming Normie's babysitter. Kristy mostly appeared in Spectacular Spider-Man and Web of Spider-Man, which her creator Gerry Conway wrote. Kristy's appearances became more sporadic and she largely disappeared. Later, when Mary Jane was believed dead, Kristy (spelled Chrissie and misidentified as Mary Jane's niece) showed up with Mary Jane's sister Gayle's family, implying that perhaps she had moved in with them. Years later, Kristy was revealed to be attending ESU, majoring in journalism.
Her first appearance in Spider-Girl seems to encapsulate much of what I just wrote. To answer her question on how she's related to May and Ben. She's their first cousin once removed.
