MC2 Mystery: Who are Magneta's Parents?

Disclaimer: I only do this for entertainment purposes and to tie together established Marvel history. My opinion is not to be taken as fact for any other sites to report as such. Only Tom DeFalco and his MC2 collaborators add anything to MC2 canon.

Since she showed up in J2 #6, little is known about Magneta. She seems to have unlimited technology and resources at her disposal. Her characterization has gone from would be anti-hero to out and out villain. So, she's just like Magneto. This is my attempt to guess at her origins.

Magneto and Aleytys "Lee" Forrester--Lee was once held captive by Magneto along with her then boyfriend Scott Summers a.k.a. Cyclops in X-Men #149-150. Lee later saved Magneto from a shark attack when he plunged into the ocean in X-Men #188 and the two became lovers in issues of New Mutants. Their relationship was later forgotten about like most things Chris Claremont did.

Lorna Dane a.k.a.Polaris and Alex Summers a.k.a. Havok--Lorna Dane was believed to Magneto's daughter. With all the retcons, it's hard to know whether she is or not. Having said that, Lorna did have powers of magnetism. Havok was her long time companion.

Pietro Maximoff a.k.a. Quicksilver and Crystal--When Tom and Ron created the MC2, Pietro and his sister Wanda were still believed to be the children of Magneto. Some have put forward the theory that the daughter of Quicksilver and Crystal is actually Bluestreak, but I like the idea that Luna could be Magneta. When she was a baby, Magneto was fairly reformed and tried to have a relationship with his granddaughter. What if Luna remembered those overtures and admired her grandfather?

Zala Dane a.k.a. Zaladane and the High Evolutionary--Zaladane was a Savage Land sorceress who introduced as a foe of Ka-Zar. Chris Claremont got the bright boy idea of having Zaladane be...Zala Dane, the long lost sister of Lorna. Zala tried to steal the magnetism powers of Polaris and Magneto. She was also an assistant to the High Evolutionary. In this case, I'm not saying the High Evolutionary was the father He probably provided the resources for some form of genetic engineering for Zaladane to have a child with the powers of magnetism.  Although he is usually portrayed as neutral, Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz had a story arc in Thor where the High Evolutionary cloned Thor without his consent in his effort to create a race of new gods (lower case, mind you). The High Evolutionary also had hand in the destinies of Pietro and Wanda, depending on which retcon you follow. So he's meddled with Magneto's putative children on many occasions.

Clone of Magneto--This is Tom DeFalco we're talking about who never met a clone story he didn't like. In the beginning of his career, Tom had a clone story in Jimmy Olsen stories in Superman Family involving Guardian and since two people cannot share the same last name without being related in comic books, he established a kinship between Roy Harper a.k.a. Speedy and Jim Harper a.k.a Guardian. Who would be behind an opposite gender clone of Magneto?

Mr. Sinister-He has been known to clone mutants, his Marauders and Madelyn Pryor being well known examples.

Weapon X--They like to experiment on powerful mutants in an effort to control them.

Hellfire Club--Magneto was a member of Hellfire Club as the White King and later Grey King. With her resources and her attitude that her will should be supreme, Magneta does seem to have ideology of the Hellfire Club.

Preferred choice? I think Magneta is the product of some form of genetic engineering. So I'm going with clone or genetically engineered baby.
