  Writer: Tom DeFalco Penciler: Ron Frenz Synopsis: Thor and Spider-Man team up against Titania and the Absorbing Man.  Comments: The Golden Bull laying on its side is reminiscent of a panel in Thor #147. Eric doesn't want to engage in the "superhero misunderstanding" fight even though they just had one.  Spider-Man was chagrined back in Avengers #235 that he could have received a stipend if he had been accepted into the Avengers. He unsuccessfully applied in Avengers #236-237, but was turned down.  The jokes about how Code: Blue have frequent suicide missions comes from their inspiration, Sgt. Fury and the Howling Commandoes, which in the first three issues, they were explicitly sent on suicide missions.  Eric's punching power seems to have improved since Thor #438 where his punch didn't have any effect on Bobby Steele. 

  Writer: Tom DeFalco Penciler: Ron Frenz Synopsis: Eric teams up with the Absorbing Man in an attempt to scare Titania straight.  Comments: Creel turns into the material Titania has stolen, gold. In Amazing Spider-Man #283, by DeFalco/Frenz, he turned into diamonds after feeling around for what she stole.   You think Eric could just tell Jarvis not to come in.  Stone is usually friendly towards Thor, but doesn't want to seem to involve Spider-Man.  Creel leaves Eric with the bill. Eric mentions that he can't appear in public without his mask and ends up having to pay the tab with his cape. When Eric becomes Thunderstrike, he ditches the mask and cape when he gets a new costume. Also, the manager of the diner doesn't cut Eric any slack with the bill when Thor was able to get out of paying the bill as demonstrated in Thor #129 and #143.  Eric interrupts Captain America's work out and gets overwhelmed the stun balls, unlike Thor who neutralized them in...

  Writer: Tom DeFalco Penciler: Ron Frenz Synopsis: Eric battles a villain who is trying to steal Christmas.  Comments: That present cost $500? In 1992 dollars? I know my parents wouldn't have spent that much on me. I see the dedication to Dr. Seuss. This story was about as well received as the Jim Carry movie based on How the Grinch Stole Christmas .  I guess some time has passed since the last issue and Marcy notes that Eric has grown a beard. Nice dig by Eric on how Bobby's team didn't make the playoffs. Of course, playoffs or not, Bobby is still wealthy and is trying to buy Kevin's love. Eric goes after a mysterious green creature with superhuman strength and blasts that fire from its eyes called the "Groonk", who is stealing Christmas gifts. He finds out that the Groonk is a mentally impaired, presumably a mutant, who lives with the homeless. Having recovered the stolen property, he doesn't arrest the Groonk. Not that anyone has been eager to revisit ...

  Writer: Tom DeFalco Penciler: Ron Frenz Synopsis: Eric journey's to Mephisto's realm to retrieve his stolen hammer.  Comments: The cover reminds of me of the cover of Thor #412.  The title of this story taken from the horror film and also novel, The Mephisto Waltz , which is turn was taken from music by Liszt.  I couldn't find it on TV Tropes, but I remember Richard Roeper mentioned the movie law where the hero will storm in and the assistant will try to hold them back or say "You can't go in there!" and the person they want to see will say it's fine. That actually happened to me once when I worked in an office and told someone to wait and the person just barged in the office. Fortunately, the person they wanted to see was okay. But I digress. There's no asterisk but Strange met the new Thor in Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme #35, during the whole Infinity Gauntlet crossover.  We're still lead to believe Thor is being held captive by Mephis...
