DeFalco/Frenz Retrospecitve: Thor #448

Writer: Tom DeFalco
Penciler: Ron Frenz

Synopsis: Thor and Spider-Man team up against Titania and the Absorbing Man.

Comments: The Golden Bull laying on its side is reminiscent of a panel in Thor #147.

Eric doesn't want to engage in the "superhero misunderstanding" fight even though they just had one.

Spider-Man was chagrined back in Avengers #235 that he could have received a stipend if he had been accepted into the Avengers. He unsuccessfully applied in Avengers #236-237, but was turned down.

The jokes about how Code: Blue have frequent suicide missions comes from their inspiration, Sgt. Fury and the Howling Commandoes, which in the first three issues, they were explicitly sent on suicide missions.

Eric's punching power seems to have improved since Thor #438 where his punch didn't have any effect on Bobby Steele.
