Spider-Girl #55

Writer: Tom DeFalco
Penciller: Pat Olliffe

Synopsis: Spider-Girl goes after the Soldiers of the Serpent and stumbles into a trap.

Comments: Normie rejects May for all the right reasons. He's in a relationship, she's underage and the baggage between their families.

I like this silent page of Spider-Girl sneaking onto the Serpent ship.

After overpowering Spider-Girl again, the Serpent leader goes into Bond villain territory and dunks Spider-Girl into the Hudson River strapped to an anchor. I didn't include this on my superheroes on the cross post on my other blog

The font in which Green Goblin says his name is the same as the title font for the Green Goblin series which starred the Phil Urich version of the Goblin.  Green Goblin saying that criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot is a popular misquote from Batman #1 where Bruce Wayne says that villains are a "superstitious cowardly lot". No "and."
