Wild Thing #5

Writer: Larry Hama, Tom DeFalco
Penciller: Ron Lim

Synopsis: A giant robot comes to Earth to conquer it. Back up story: J2/Zane ponders why Miller bullies him.

Comments: The title "The Robot Who Would Be King" is a take off from "The Man Who Would Be King", a short story by Rudyard Kipling.

The hero pretends to become a bad guy. Despite having had her life saved by Wild Thing twice, Cameron thinks she's a villain.

A pat ending where the guys are thrilled when Rina reports that Wild Thing was a hero all along.

In the J2 story, it seems Miller  is jealous of the deep, meaningful relationships Zane has with his friends and family as opposed to the superficial connections Miller has. The last few panels made me wonder if Miller overheard the Yamas discussing him and felt bad?
