Spider-Girl #65
Writer: Tom DeFalco
Penciller: Ron Frenz
Synopsis: Spider-Girl tracks down the rogue operative from Kaine's squad.
Comments: One of the earliest comics I read was Amazing Spider-Man #436 where Spider-Man battled the Black Tarantula (Carlos LaMuerto) to keep him from abducting his estranged son, Fabian, who he wanted to groom as the next Black Tarantula. Spider-Man won that battle, but it appears he lost the war.
Spider-Girl's spider sense operates at a different frequency than Spider-Man's.
The dialogue and actions of May crushing Howard's hand is taken from Thor #418 (also by DeFalco and Frenz) where the Wrecker crushes Thunderball's hand. Though at the very least, you'd think in light of the Nancy Lu revelation, May would be suspected as being a mutant if she's strong enough to effortlessly catch Howard's punch and crush his hand.
Um, is the moll outfit racist?
I like Mr. Nobody's face when he's electrocuted.
