Amazing Spider-Girl #4

Writer: Tom DeFalco
Penciller: Ron Frenz

Synopsis: Spider-Girl meets Mad Dog, a bounty hunter.

Comments: The cover is an homage to Amazing Spider-Man #129. Unlike her father's relationship to the Punisher and what the cover seems to indicate, Spider-Girl and Mad Dog always have a cordial relationship.

Julius "Mad Dog" Rassitano was a member of Marcus Stone's Code Blue team that mostly appeared in DeFalco/Frenz's run on Thor.  Here, Mad Dog has been reimagined as a reality show bounty hunter like the A&E show,  Dog the Bounty Hunter, starring Duane Chapman.  Rassitano doesn't seem as unsavory as Chapman. In some ways, he reminds me of Mr. Satan from Dragon Ball Z. A talented fighter who takes credit for other's accomplishments.

The equipment Mad Dog says he's possesses is from the Shocker, the Kangaroo, the Prowler, Cardiac and Cyclone

The glowing, green object Mona has is revealed to be a DVD.

I would be remiss if I did not include Heather's "Make Mine Mayday!" line.
