Spectacular Spider-Girl vol. 2 #1

Writer: Tom DeFalco
Penciller: Ron Frenz

Synopsis: The Punisher returns to New York.

Comments: The Punisher paraphrases Douglas MacArthur's quote, "Old soldiers never die. They simply fade away." He also makes a play on words by saying far from the maddening crowd which is taken from the title of a Thomas Hardy novel, Far from the Madding Crowd.

May also calls Kaine "Uncle Kaine" like Darkdevil did in Spectacular Spider-Girl #7.

Wes is kind of May's wingman here by spilling his coffee on her to give her an excuse to get away. The guy mopping up the mess looks like Coach Thompson. Did Vice Principal Slattery end up firing him?

I love American Dream's manicure.
