Spectacular Spider-Girl vol. 2 #4

Writer: Tom DeFalco
Penciller: Ron Frenz

Synopsis: The final showdown at Don Silvio's headquarters.

Comments: I still think this was a dumb idea on Peter's part.

I love Nunzio's confidence that he and Guido can whack the Hobgoblin. That Winkler Device sure has gotten its money's worth.

Phil has gone back to his purple and green colors, as opposed to orange and green.

After being shot by the Punisher, Spider-Girl reacts with the same disbelief she did when Fury stabbed her in Spider-Girl #79. She even gets the same amount of sympathy from both antagonists who tell her to "suck it up" and that "it's only a flesh wound."  In an alternate reality, What If vol. 2 #26, Spider-Man reacted with similar disbelief when the Punisher shot him.

How the Punisher dies taking down a crime boss also is similar to What If #26, where the Kingpin/Barraca throttle the Punisher, but he's still able to kill them.

Mayhem doesn't play around and cuts the Gordian Knot in the gang war.

Now we know how Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz broke into the business! It's kind of unfair that Sal's avatar, Barraca, died and they got to live.
