Spider-Girls #1

Writer: Jody Houser
Penciller: Andres Genolet

Synopsis: May and Arana journey to another reality to warn a family of Spiders.

Comments: I'm calling her Arana, even though she was probably Spider-Girl at this point.

I never read Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows where these characters first appeared, but a family of Spider people seems pretty cool. It's explained later in the issue that Mary Jane's powers derive from her suit which is powered by Peter's spider abilities.

Andres Genolet's art on May/Spider-Woman here really reminds me of Pat Olliffe's.

Alternate reality Vultures, like Electros, don't cause May too much trouble.

Benjy's name is spelled as "Benji." He's not a dog.

This Earth's Peter and Mary Jane are shocked by May because like their 616 counterparts, their May was stillborn, hence why their daughter was named Anna-May.
