DeFalco/Frenz Retrospective: Amazing Spider-Man #259

Writer: Tom DeFalco
Penciler: Ron Frenz

Synopsis: Mary Jane reveals her origin.

Comments: The cover seems to be an homage to Tales of Suspense #39.

The title is a reference to the quote "All my sins remembered" from Hamlet Act 3, Scene 1.

Peter proposed to Mary Jane in Amazing Spider-Man #182 and she turned him down.

Mary Jane's dad sued for desertion and the courts sided with him? Did Mary Jane's mom have to pay him alimony?

"I'll let you stay here as long as you take care of my youngins" Mary Jane's origin is pretty soapy.

This is kind of call back to Amazing Spider-Man #122. After Gwen died, Peter lashed out at Mary Jane and told she wouldn't be upset if her mother died, probably not knowing Mary Jane's mother was dead.
