Spider-Verse Unlimited #26: Canon?

Synopsis: On her way home, Spider-Girl teams up with the Ladyhawks against Mr. Abnormal and Killerwatt.

Comments:

I found this to be an enjoyable story. Is this canon? I think so. Nothing really seems to strongly contradict what's been established or it can waved away with Spider-Verse shenanigans.

So May and Davida are invited by a guy named Jason to his uncle's "fun center." May seems flattered by the attention.

Spider-Girl sees the Ladyhawk twins fighting Mr. Abnormal and Killerwatt in front of McDuffie's comic book store. You can see a word that is somewhat cut off that looks like "Static." Dwayne McDuffie (1962-2011), of Milestone Comics, created African-American heroes like Static, Icon and Rocket. Ladyhawk was not created by McDuffie. They were created by Tom DeFalco and Pat Olliffe. Killerwatt and Mr. Abnormal due to bring to mind the McDuffie characters, the aforementioned Static and Rubberband Man, respectively.

Mr. Abnormal and Killerwatt were last seen as part of Kaine's squad of reformed supervillains who did missions for the government in place of a prison sentence. When Quickwire deserted, Kaine told Earthshaker that he tracked him down and put him in the ICU. I guess Mr. Abnormal and Killerwatt didn't get the memo.

So, the Ladyhawks are now teaming up in the open. In Spider-Girl #98, they fought during the day against a bunch of thugs before being confronted by the Hobgoblin. It looks like day to me and criminals talk, so even if it's not in the public per se, they are letting it be known that they are not one individual. Take it up with Tom and Ron. It's during the day, because the previous page shows May at school. School is in session during the day. The next page featuring the Ladyhawks says "Meanwhile" at the top. "Meanwhile" means at the exact same time.

And the Ladyhawks are fighting together in the open now. Dynamics change. When they first started crimefighting and  were pretending to be one person, they planned to craft an image that they could market to finance their crimefighting career. After Regina lost the use of her legs, they probably reinvented themselves and now she's a disabled high profile crimefighter. They are back to wearing green and gold, after Rosetta was shown wearing white and red in Spider-Island #4 and #5

Peter's alive and well. He was brought in Spider-Geddon #5. Benjy looks older, but artists have never drawn his age consistently. During the first Spider-Verse crossover, he looked like a newborn at times.

Benjy looking older and where's Wes? Some time has passed. The Spider-Verse stuff could have caused a little bit of a Flashpoint and reset the 982 timeline a bit to where are small and subtle differences. I find it more canon than Spider-Girl #51, anyway.
